Sun Splash is a family-owned beekeeping operation based in Edgewater, Volusia County, located near the pristine Mosquito Lagoon. For over 15 years, they've been harvesting some of Florida's most distinctive Black Mangrove honey, building a reputation for excellence and dedication to their craft.
What makes their Black Mangrove honey special is the unique environment where it's produced. The high density of black mangroves around Mosquito Lagoon creates a rare and pure honey with a distinctive flavor profile that can't be replicated elsewhere. Black Mangrove honey is naturally dense and crystallizes quickly—what beekeepers call "wet honey." Rather than using industrial heating methods that damage the honey's delicate properties, Sun Splash uses a gentle drying process that preserves the raw honey's natural enzymes, pollen, and nutritional benefits.
